New Dutch Books in English

With the New Dutch Writing campaign starting up in the UK this autumn, Dutch writers will be a common sight at events and festivals across the channel until the end of 2020. This will boost the number of Dutch books published in English next year so watch this space… and do visit their site.

Meanwhile, this autumn’s line-up features big names like J. Slauerhoff, Stefan Hertmans, Herman Koch, and Griet op de Beeck. Pushkin Press continues to provide British readers with a steadfast selection of top-notch books – see Jeroen Olyslaeger’s tour de force Will and the charming and popular children’s book Lampie by Annet Schaap. AmazonCrossing has not lost its taste for Dutch and Flemish writers either, with three titles in this selection and more to follow in 2020.
