No. 4, Spring 2015

With Esther Gerritsen’s Craving and Anna-Gine Goemans’s Gliding Flight, January 2015 saw the launch of a major new publisher of Dutch literature in translation, World Editions, an imprint of De Geus. Many more books are in production, so it’ll be exciting to see how these early editions take off.

Meanwhile, in America, translator Laura Watkinson has won her third prestigious Batchelder Award for Mikis and the Donkey, her second with Bibi Dumon Tak and Philip Hopman. Watkinson has now won three of the last four awards, and rumour has it that U.S. bookmakers have stopped taking bets on her winning another in 2016.

See below for the full list of recent publications.

Books are listed by genre, with our choice of key titles at the top and the rest of our selection in alphabetical order by author. We have included a link to the publisher’s Dutch and Belgian distributor if we have it.
