New Dutch Books in English

So far in 2013 we’ve seen the publication of Adriaan van Dis’s Betrayal, Arnon Grunberg’s Tirza and Typex’s Rembrandt. Bestselling thriller author Simone van der Vlugt has a new book out in English and volume one of Lucebert’s collected poems has appeared. There are also a couple of landmark publications scheduled for the next month or so: in London Pushkin Press will be publishing the first Dutch book in their new list of international children’s classics – Tonke Dragt’s The Letter for the King (winner of the “Griffel der Griffels”, the prize for the best Dutch children’s book ever); and in New York Archipelago will be publishing Even Now, a major new collection of the poetry of Hugo Claus.

Books are listed by genre, with our choice of key titles at the top and the rest of our selection in alphabetical order by author. We have included a link to the publisher’s Dutch and Belgian distributor if we have it.
